Guidelines to promote good foot health

Never ignore foot pain. It is NOT normal. Contact our office if experiencing persistent pain in foot or ankle.
Inspect your feet regularly (daily if diabetic). Use a mirror if needed.
Notice changes in color, temperature, nail thickness, skin cracks, cuts, and moles.
Wash feet regularly, especially between toes. Dry feet and toes completely.
If diabetic, schedule a check-up at least once a year.

Wear comfortable, properly fitting shoes.
Inspect shoes regularly. Fix or replace when showing excessive wear.
Best time for shoe shopping: End of the day when feet are largest.
Select appropriate shoes for specific sports or activities (e.g., no flip-flops for hiking).
Air out shoes. Avoid wearing the same pair daily.
